Andy Collins
I'm a South Londoner now living in Sweden. I'm also a part-time DJ/ founder of Urbanlife Radio and co-founder of Scandinavian Soul. Music has always been my soundtrack to life and although I listen to everything, soul is always in my playlist.
HPNB - Shoot me in a Dream
Shoot me in a Dream is the first single from HPNBs (Half Past Never Band) third studio album. The song has a typical HPNB sound where the influence of a variety of music styles are combined. Their new video has a western theme, and we've heard that during the video release event the evening will turn in to a western style duel set in a harbour area - we just hope the guns aren't loaded!
Josefin – Getaway
For reasons unknown to me, you’ll find Swedish singer Josefin’s new EP, 'Getaway' listed under Rock on iTunes. I guess it’s because there’s no Scandinavian Soul-Pop category - yet.
If there was, then this 5-track EP would top the list.

"Hey Love" - Quadron's Coco O continues to impress in Live Acoustic Version
Coco O, from the Danish duo Quadron, was recently handpicked by Jay-Z to sing “Where the Wind Blows” on The Great Gatsbysoundtrack, and she is certainly causing big waves in the ocean of international music, and deservedly so.
Marie makes Perth float
Danish soul singer Marie Dahlstrom certainly knows how to twist a cover version into something dreamy and soulful and her latest re-creation is no different.

Kamilia brings the spring
Kamilia Amélie - Don't Need You // Out In The North
After the launch of her debut album 'Come what May' Kamilia, who simply oozes chic and cool, has been busy touring around Denmark, and supporting artists such as Lukas Graham. Luckily however, she has found time to perform an acoustic version of 'Don't Need You', accompanied by guitarist Johan Jørgensen in the sunshine by a riverside in Copenhagen.
Okapii - New Release
'Gattu' is the unique title of the new feel good track from Danish duo Okapii (Mads Oustrup and Alex Rita), and be warned it has an extremely catchy chorus.
Josefin & Co release... the funk
Somehow I feel out of place as I pass by diners enjoying high quality Swedish cuisine, dressed in ties, Agnes B dresses, and jackets with neatly folded handkerchiefs, however, the only way to enter Obaren (which sits at the back of Sturehof in the heart of Stureplan, Stockholm’s affluent social area) is through the restaurant.
