WE LOVE SOUL!

We also feel almost everyone loves Soul in one form or another (apart from serious Heavy Rockers).  So why is it that across Scandinavia, Soul is hardly ever played on commercial radio?

The answer we were told: There’s no demand for soul!

Poppycock!

It’s no wonder that during the past 10 years we have seen a decline in artists choosing soul as a musical direction. Many artists have tried going abroad to gain an audience, as the Danish group Quadron did with great success. Many haven’t been as fortunate and instead have chosen to follow other musical paths – or given up!

We plan to change that!

Scandinavian Soul is the brain child of Soul artist Stevie Nii-Adu Mensah and Andy Collins ((designer, entrepreneur) and we are driven to promote Scandinavian Soul throughout the Nordic regions and internationally.

We can’t think of anything better to listen to on a warm summer evening, on a long drive or in a fire-lit cabin in the mountains. We also believe that there are many people who, like us, love the sound of soul and even more who take pride in supporting home-grown music.

By combining and including all Nordic countries; Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden and Iceland (spreading some love), Stevie and Andy believe the unification of Scandinavian Soul will help artists reach their audience, creating a new way for people to find soul – Scandinavian Soul!
